About Our School
Mission Statement
Sam Rayburn Elementary STEAM Academy is a K-5th grade School of Choice. Our mission is to foster each student's innate curiosity and joy of discovery through science, technology, engineering, arts and math. We will prepare students to be academically successful, socially aware, scientifically literate and respectful, responsible citizens in the global community. We will achieve this by combining student-centered, collaborative and creative problem-based learning with active parental and community involvement.
Vision
Our vision is to provide students with safe, nurturing and engaging learning environments where they become creative inquirers and communicators. Through collaboration with parents and community, we leverage available resources to offer students science exploration and collaborative problem solving experiences in order to prepare them for college and beyond.
